My grandfather was a photographer by hobby, back when all we had was film to play with. My love for special effects photography began with him, seeing all of those double exposures and beautiful pictures of my grandmother have had a profound influence on me as far back as I can remember.
One year after getting out of High School I became a professional model and owned a photography studio in New York, but before that I was an artist. Raised as an only child, I was basically born with a paint brush in one hand and a pen in the other - coming from several generations of artists on both sides of the family.
.While I began my affinity for photography as a model, I spent countless hours both behind and in front of the lens learning from some of the best photographers from around the world. While working as a full time model I also pursued my dream of becoming a professional photographer; photographing people, animals, weddings, landscapes, architecture, nature, and still life. Photography has held and continues to hold my interest and enthusiasm as it has for the past seventeen years.
Let me tell you about my wonderful husband and other half of Corso Photographic, Michael. Although relatively new to the photography scene and being a photographer for four years, he has a fantastic eye for angles and photographic drama which cannot be bought, sold, or taught in school. Almost every idea he has had, has been published or gotten some kind of accolade. His photos haven been published in several major magazines.
Michael has an uncanny way of making people he doesn't know feel comfortable and welcome, so they relax and have a great time on a shoot. Coming from a large family, he also has a way with children (of ALL ages – wink wink!) that make them laugh and have fun, which results in the most spontaneous and natural images.
